Man stabbed in the back in the Tenderloin early Wednesday

A man of unknown age was stabbed in the back with an unknown object early Wednesday morning, said police.

The incident occurred at 5 a.m. near the intersection of Golden Gate Avenue and Leavenworth Street in the Tenderloin.

A 25-year-old assailant approached from behind and stabbed the victim who was transported to San Francisco Examiner Staff Writer.

The victim is expected to survive. No arrest has been made.
