One dead, one injured in traffic collision near edge of Potrero Hill

A person died in a vehicle collision early Sunday morning near the border of Potrero Hill, police said.

The collision occurred at around 3:06 a.m. at Cesar Chavez and Vermont streets.

One occupant was pronounced dead at the scene, and another occupant was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

No further information was immediately available.
