USF lands junior-college point guard

New USF men’s basketball coach Rex Walters filled a big need when Eastern Arizona College point guard Dontae Bryant signed with the Dons. He joins Mitty forward Angelo Caloiaro as Walters’ first recruits. The 6-foot-2 sophomore from Portland, Ore., was seventh nationally among jucos with 7.9 assists. He also averaged 8.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game.
