A proposed new stadium in Santa Clara for the football team is the focus of a study session the Silicon Valley city’s Planning Commission is scheduled to hold Monday.
The 49ers announced in 2006 that they wanted to relocate the team to a new stadium in the Great America theme park parking lot. San Francisco has offered its own stadium proposal, which the team has said is a backup plan.
The commission is also scheduled to consider the environmental impact report on the facility Wednesday.
