Sports briefs: Niners bolster pass rush

The 49ers added some depth to their defense by signing linebacker Roderick Green to the 53-man roster. Green, a three-year veteran who played in nine games and finished with 4.5 sacks last season with the Niners, was in training camp, but was waived prior to the start of the regular season. The Niners also signed guard Sean Estrada to the practice squad.

More Warriors hit with injury bug

Warriors tri-captain Matt Barnes dislocated the knuckle on his right hand and could miss today’s playoffs rematch against the Dallas Mavericks. Barnes suffered the injury during Tuesday’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers and missed practice Wednesday. Monta Ellis also missed practice when he arrived at the practice facility feeling lightheaded and Kelenna Azubuike has a lingering bone bruise in his ankle that hasn’t improved much since the summer.
