SF Preps Track: Freshman sets the bar high for WCAL jumpers

During Wednesday’s dual meet between St. Ignatius and Valley Christian track and field, the Wildcats had a freshman set a high standard for jumpers in just her third meet of the season.

Chloe Hudson hit a personal best 5-foot-3 in the high jump against the Warriors, setting the season high for not only St. Ignatius, but for the West Catholic Athletic League and the Central Coast Section.

Hudson ‘s leap was better than all but three jumps by St. Ignatius boys this season. In addition to her jump, Hudson also ran on the winning varsity 4x100m relay team, which clocked a 50.53-second time and is ranked No. 2 in the CCS.

St. Ignatius swept the meet, with varsity men beating Valley Christian 80-51 and varsity women winning 79-45.
