Serena to play at Stanford

The Bank of the West Classic will have some star power when the tournament comes to Stanford. Eight-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams has committed to play in this year’s event, held July 23-29. “I am looking forward to playing at this year’s Bank of the West Classic,” Williams said. “The tournament helps set the tone for the summer and a run at the U.S. Open.”
