Santa Clara City Council debates 49ers stadium plan

The Santa Clara City Council today is expected to certify an environmental impact review for a proposed 49ers stadium. Also, the council will decide on whether to put a measure to approve a stadium plan on a special April 13 ballot or the scheduled June 8 statewide primary. Upon approval of a date, language in the measure will be crafted and likely voted on at the Dec. 15 meeting. Today’s meeting begins at 7 p.m.
