S.F. State men's soccer ranked No. 5

The San Francisco State men's soccer team is rannked fifth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division II Far West Region poll, which was released Tuesday.

The Gators (3-1) are coming off a split of games in Washington, where they lost to Seattle Pacific 1-0 — then ranked 19th nationally — on Friday, before rebounding with a 2-1 win over Western Washington on Monday.

Cal State Los Angeles (2-0-1) is No. 1, followed by co-No. 2s Seattle Pacific (3-0-1) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (2-1) and No. 4 Seattle University (3-1). Rounding out the top 10 in order are Humboldt State (2-2), Sonoma State (1-2-1), Western Washington (2-2), Grand Canyon (1-2-1) and Cal State Stanislaus (1-2-1).
