S.F. State men's soccer drops to No. 7

A nonconference loss coupled with a league win dropped the San Francisco State men's soccer team one spot to No. 7 in the National Soccer Coaches Association/adidas Division II Far West Region poll.

The Gators, who opened the weekend with a 3-1 nonconference loss to Holy Names before rebounding with a 2-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay in a California Collegiate Athletic Association match, are 7-5 overall and 4-3 in league play entering this weekend's games. SFSU continues its season-long eight-game homestand Friday at 1 p.m. against Bay Area rival Notre Dame de Namur and Sunday at 12:30 p.m. against Chico State.
