Raiders reportedly will meet with Maurice Jones-Drew

Free-agent running back Maurice Jones-Drew is schedule to visit the Raiders today and Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reported the sides are expected to agree to a contract.

Jones-Drew would give the Raiders a proven veteran running back to pair with Darren McFadden, who signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the team earlier this offseason to stay in Oakland. The Raiders also have running backs Latavius Murray, Jeremy Stewart and Kory Sheets on their roster.

Jones-Drew, who attended De La Salle High School in Concord, spent the first eight years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has rushed for 8,071 yards and 68 touchdowns in his career.
