Offensive tackle Donald Penn, one of the most important parts of the Oakland Raiders offense, reported to practice on Wednesday, ending his holdout.
He was reinstated to the active roster as the team waived defensive end Jimmy Bean.
On Tuesday, head coach Jack Del Rio didn’t want to talk about his Pro Bowl O-lineman.
“I’ll just coach the guys that are here,” he told reporters. I’m not going to really go further on the subject.”
But Derek Carr had no problem sharing his feelings about the person protecting his blind side.
“It’s more than just football,” Carr said. “We want to be there in his life with him, those kind of things. It would mean a lot and obviously, I would love it.”
