The Golden State Warriors donned throwback uniforms on Sunday, hearkening back to the 2006-07 We Believe team that defeated the No. 1-seed Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA playoffs. That short playoff run — Golden State’s only one in a span of 18 years, encompasing eight coaches (and Don Nelson twice) — was a payoff of decades of futility for a hardscrabble town defined by self determination as much as by tight-knit community.

For the final game at Oracle Arena, after 47 years (they technically played games there starting in 1967, but the arena didn’t become home to the club until the 1971-72 season), Golden State put on a show, trouncing the visiting Clippers and securing the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, ensuring home-court advantage throughout the conference playoffs.

Sunday’s win marked the 1,936th regular season game played at the arena, and the Warriors finish with a record of 1,165-770 (.602) during the regular season. Both the first game — played on Oct. 24, 1967 — and the last game were Warriors wins.

Below are photos from the final regular-season night at Roaracle.
