KD makes cameo on practice floor, Steph denies talk of ‘slump’

OAKLAND — For the second time in as many days, Kevin Durant made an appearance at the Golden State Warriors’ practice facility on Tuesday, holding a basketball and walking around on the court where Stephen Curry gets up hundreds of shots a day.

Durant, who wasn’t wearing his brace for the second day in a row, didn’t take any shots while the media was allowed in the gym.

Curry shoots down talk of a ‘slump’

Even as he’s shooting a tick over 41 percent in March — nearly five percentage points lower than his season average — Stephen Curry brushed aside the idea that he’s mired in a slump.

“I never really use that word because a slump, to me, connotes that you’re losing a little bit of confidence or what not,” Curry said.

The back-to-back MVP, who turned 29 on Tuesday, added that his wayward shooting isn’t stressing him out off the court.

“I’m just missing shots and there’s no two ways around it,” Curry said. “Shots that I normally take and make aren’t falling. And I’m going to to keep shooting them until they do.”

Steph on Seth’s big month: ‘He’s got crazy confidence and swag about him’

While Curry struggles, his young brother, Seth, has been on fire for the Dallas Mavericks. Recently-inserted in the starting lineup, the younger Curry is sinking 49.4 percent of his shots and averaging 15.9 points per game this month.

“It’s been amazing,” Curry said of Seth’s rise. “He’s taken advantage of the opportunity of being in that starting lineup and getting significant minutes and playing well. He’s got crazy confidence and swag about him and we love to see that. So, he obviously deserves to be in this league and he’s proving that every day.”
