SANTA CLARA — The San Francisco 49ers are honoring former owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr. during the team’s game against the New England Patriots on Sunday.
DeBartolo was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame over the summer and was answering questions from the media pregame.
Then, Tom Brady took the field and the hordes of Pats fans in the crowd shouted their appreciation for the man they call Tommy Terrific.

“That must be Tom Brady,” DeBartolo said before laughing.
Colin Kaepernick was later booed as he emerged from the bowels of the stadium and onto the field.
Several former Niners — including Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott and Dana Stubblefield — were mulling about pregame. Stubblefield was charged with raping a developmentally challenged woman in May.Eddie DeBartoloSan Francisco 49ers
