The Cal football team is moving its home game against Oregon next season to the 49ers’ new stadium in Santa Clara.
The Niners and Cal announced Tuesday that the game played on Oct. 24, a Friday night, will be the first college game played at Levi’s Stadium. The stadium is set to open next summer.
Cal is required to host a weeknight game every two years under the Pac-12 television contract and that can be problematic on campus, where parking is limited.
Cal said moving the game could produce as much as $1 million in increased revenue.
