Big weekend on Hilltop

Saturday will be quite eventful on the Hilltop. First, the USF women's volleyball team will take on 16th-ranked Gonzaga, the defending West Coast Conference champ, at 1 p.m.

Following that, the Dons men's and women's basketball teams will participate in the annual George O'Brien Green and Gold scrimmage. The women, featuring three-time All-WCC first-teamer Dominique Carter and second-year coach Tanya Haave, will play at 4 p.m., following the volleyball match. It is the first time the women are participating in the event.

The USF men's hoops team will scrimmage following the women. Fourth-year coach Jessie Evans will be looking to junior guard Manny Quezada and senior guard Danny Cavic for leadership.

Evans and Haave will speak at a post-event reception.
