SFPD, United Playaz hosting gun buy-back event in SoMa Saturday

The San Francisco Police Department and United Playaz will be teaming up to host a gun buy-back event in SoMa Dec. 17.

United Playaz is a violence prevention organization that works with youth to offer a safe space and community to help them grow. The gun buy-back event will be hosted at United Playaz headquarters at 1038 Howard St.

“Previous gun buy-backs partnering the City & County of San Francisco, the San Francisco Police Department and United Playaz have yielded hundreds of guns, rifles and assault weapons,” read a statement released by SFPD.
