San Francisco Post Office holding hiring workshops

Looking for a new career? The San Francisco Post Office is hiring, and to make the whole process easier for applicants, preparation workshops are being held prior to the entrance exam.

“The Postal Service is a great place to work, and employment with the Postal Service provides job security as well as many challenging and rewarding promotional opportunities to job seekers,” stated a news release about the job openings sent out on Tuesday.

San Francisco’s post office district has immediate openings for city carrier assistants (otherwise known as mailmen and women). To help applicants understand what lies ahead, a newly hired mailperson will be on hand to talk about their experiences.

Those who attend will also learn what is included on the exam, tips on how to prepare, and a sample test.

The workshops start at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the following locations: San Francisco P&DC, 1300 Evans Ave, Room 332, San Francisco, and Red Morton Community Center 1120 Roosevelt Ave, Redwood City.

More information can be found on the USPS website.
