Annual SantaCon event hitting San Francisco Saturday

(Joseph Schell/Special to The SF Examiner)

More than thirty bars and restaurants will open their doors wide to Santa Claus-clad revelers on Saturday. SantaCon, the annual dress-up pub-crawl, will bring crowds to North Beach, Polk Street and Downtown.

Despite the organizers’ guidelines suggesting that participants not get drunk, the event often involves a day-long march from bar to bar through The City. A full list of participating businesses, who will be opening early or offering discounts to those in Santa costumes can be found here.

The event will begin at noon on Dec. 10 in Union Square.holidaypub crawlsanta clausSantacon
