Thousands of people gathered Saturday evening to observe the Chinese New Year Parade snake through downtown San Francisco streets.
The parade dates back to the 1860s and is one of the largest Lunar New Year celebrations in the world. Attendees welcomed the Year of the Pig with dances, floats and fireworks galore.
