Specs 12 Adler Museum Cafe turns 50

Richard “Specs” Simmons opened the quirky North Beach bar with lots of interesting stuff on the walls in an alley off Columbus Avenue 50 years ago and it’s been the home of poets, sailors and all sorts of colorful characters over the years.
