Police say suspect in active shooting near St. Luke’s Hospital is dead

A man in his late 20s is dead after allegedly climbing a construction site and firing gunshots near St. Luke’s Hospital in the Mission, the San Francisco Police Department said. Officers responded to the incident at 3555 Cesar Chavez St. at about 4 p.m., police said.
