Hundreds gathered in the rotunda at San Francisco’s City Hall Monday, November 14 to join Mayor Ed Lee and other city and state officials in showing support of The City’s sanctuary city status, defending the rights of those who live in San Francisco despite President-elect Donald Trump’s recent rhetoric against illegal immigrants. Audience members held signs that read “We Stand As One” and San Francisco’s Gay Men’s Chorus performed as both Mayor Ed Lee and Board of Supervisor President London Breed assured the crowd that San Francisco will remain a sanctuary city for all throughout a Trump presidency.
