Teenage girls using potentially harmful tanning beds

Large numbers of teenage girls are still using tanning beds despite repeated warnings from doctors that too much exposure to ultraviolet light can lead to potentially fatal skin cancers.

The American Academy of Dermatology polled approximately 3,800 white females of ages between 14 and 22, finding that some one-third used a tanning bed in the past year and one-fourth used it at least once a week.

The indoor tanners said they were more worried about wrinkles than about cancer.
