Counterfeiters open fake Apple stores in China

China, long known for brazenly counterfeiting consumer electronics and software, has reached a new piracy milestone — entire fake Apple stores. The unauthorized outlets look almost like the real thing, except for a few jarringly wrong details. Salespersons wear imitations of the company’s blue logo T-shirts and name tags while selling supposedly genuine versions of the latest iPhone and iPad. Most of the employees seem to believe they really do work for Apple.
