Baggage handler trapped in airplane's cargo hold

Passengers on a US Airways plane about to depart from Washington, D.C., to Hartford, Conn., heard desperate screams and thumps coming from underneath the floor. An investigation revealed it to be a baggage handler trapped in the 37-inch-high cargo hold when a colleague closed the compartment door too soon. The trapped worker was freed unharmed and went right back to work, and the flight took off on time.
