Reno Fredrick “Fred” Giusto

December 10, 1934 – December 24, 2018
Reno Fredrick “Fred” Giusto, 84, passed away from pulmonary fibrosis lung disease on December 24, 2018. He passed away surrounded by his family. Fred was born on December 10, 1934.
Fred was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years, Stella Giusto, his father and mother Antonio and Antonetta Giusto and his son Tony Giusto. He leaves behind his daughters Arlene Moore, Lori (Russ) Capote, Kathie Spruitenburg, Melissa (Robert) Snow and daughter-in-law Min-jung Giusto; grandchildren Tre, Jennifer, Daniel and Stephanie Ingram, Jennifer and Ivan Nava, Joseph Capote, Mina and Michael Giusto and Katie Snow; great grandchildren Shaina, Isaac, Savannah and Stella Ingram, Brenten Nava, Capri, Callan, Crew and Coralie Capote.
Fred was born and raised in a home in San Francisco, then moved to Galt in 1984. He owned his own electroplating company and worked in the industry for over 65 years. Fred enjoyed western movies and collecting John Wayne memorabilia. He was a lifetime fan of the San Francisco Giants and enjoyed watching on television and going to home games. Fred worked a full time job until his retirement in 2017 at the age of 83 years old. The most important thing in Fred’s life was his family. Though he was a very quiet man, he loved to be surrounded by his big family.
A viewing will be held from 1 pm to 7 pm, with a rosary starting at 7 pm on Thursday, January 3rd at the Ben Salas Mortuary in Galt. Mass service will be at 10:30 am on Friday, January 4th at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Galt. A service will also be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel in Colma at 2:30 pm with a burial at 3 pm. No reception due to services in two cities.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association in his name.
