Young man injured in shooting in the Bayview on Sunday

A young man was injured in a shooting in the Bayview on Sunday, police said.

The 19-year-old was walking in the 100 block of Cashmere Street about 10:39 a.m. when he was shot in the thigh, police said. The bullet was reportedly fired from a silver SUV or van.

The victim was hospitalized, but his injury was not life-threatening.

Further information was not available Monday.
