Christmas is looking brighter for a woman who bought a $1 million lottery ticket in San Francisco's Financial District, California lottery officials announced this week.

The lucky winner, who officials named as M. Slater, purchased the winning $250 Million Cash Spectacular Scratcher ticket at Star Convenience at One Post St.

The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the million-dollar ticket, lottery officials said.

There are still 16 instant $1 million prizes to win through the purchase of the $10 Scratcher tickets, lotto officials said.
