Woman steals transfer booklet from Muni driver

A woman stole a book of transfers from a Muni driver in the Tenderloin on Thursday, police said.

The 62-year-old man was driving the bus in the area of McAllister and Jones streets about 9:30 p.m. when a woman in her 30s came to the front of the bus and grabbed for the transfers, police said.

The driver placed his hand on the transfer booklet but the woman was able to yank it out of his grip and fled the bus on foot.

The driver told police he had pain in his shoulder and a cut on his finger, but refused treatment at the scene.

No arrest has been made.
