Woman slashed with box cutter in Bayview

A middle-aged woman took several swipes at another woman with a box cutter in the Bayview midday Monday, slashing her hand and sending her to the hospital.

The two women were in an argument around 3 p.m. on Thomas Avenue near Jennings Street when, at some point, the woman with the box cutter started swinging.

The wounded woman, 61, was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with lacerations to her hand that were not considered life threatening.

The suspect got away in an unknown direction and no arrests have been made.
