Woman shot, killed inside Silver Terrace apartment

A 43-year-old woman was shot and killed inside an apartment in Silver Terrace early Saturday, police said.

The woman was struck by gunfire at a home on Apollo Street near Thornton Avenue around 5:40 a.m., Officer Albie Esparza said. Medical personnel responded and attempted to perform life-saving measures but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was later identified by the medical examiner’s office as Lisa Broussard of San Francisco.

The homicide, which marks The City’s 28th of 2015, is still under investigation. No detailed suspect description has been released.

Esparza said no arrests have been made.
