Woman robbed of purse, thrown to ground in Mid-Market area

A woman was robbed of her purse and thrown to the ground in the Mid-Market Street area Tuesday night, police said.

The 36-year-old victim was walking in the 900 block of Market Street about 8 p.m. when a man of unknown age grabbed the victim’s purse and ran off, police said.

Then a woman who appeared to be in her late 20s came up from behind the victim and threw her to the ground before fleeing with the male crook, police said.

The victim lost her wallet, purse and smartphone. She was not seriously injured.

No arrests have been made.
