Woman robbed of necklace by force in Chinatown

A woman was robbed of her necklace in Chinatown on Monday, police said.

The 48-year-old victim was walking eastbound on the 800 block of Washington Street about 4:41 p.m. when a man, who appeared to be in his 20s, came up from behind and ripped the necklace of her neck and fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The woman was uninjured and no arrest has been made.
