Woman robbed, found unconscious in Mission

A 30-year-old woman was discovered unconscious in the Mission district Wednesday and police later determined that she was the victim of a robbery, Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Officers responded to the scene in the 200 block of Capp Street about 6:20 a.m. after a security guard found the victim.

She was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries, but she is expected to survive.

Police said the attack may have occurred between 5:40 and 5:50 a.m.

There was a limited description of a male suspect in the attack, Shyy said. It is believed the suspect was wearing a white shirt and dark-colored pants.

The man reportedly physically assaulted the woman before robbing her, Shyy said. It is unknown what the suspect may have taken.
