Woman carjacked, robbed of purse in Portola

A woman was carjacked and robbed of her purse in the Portola neighborhood early Tuesday morning, police said.

The 25-year-old woman parked her car in front of her residence in the 1000 block of Bowdoin Street about 3:30 a.m., police said.

As she walked up to her front gate, three men who appeared to be in their 20s jumped out from behind some bushes. One man demanded the woman’s car keys, police said.

The suspect who demanded the keys took off in the car and the two other suspects grabbed her purse and fled on foot.

The woman was not injured.
