Woman brutally assaulted by man, woman in Bayview

A woman was brutally assaulted by a man and a woman in the Bayview on Monday, police said.

The 20-year-old victim was in the 4700 block of Third Street about 10:10 p.m. when a 35-year-old woman and 36-year-old man approached her from behind and attacked her, police said.

The female suspect used a glass bottle to strike the victim in the face, police said, and the man reportedly assaulted the victim with numerous punches.

The victim sustained a laceration to her face, police said, but her injuries were not life-threatening.
