Woman beaten, choked

Cops are hunting a man who beat up and choked an 18-year-old woman Sunday, police said.

The 22-year-old suspect was having an argument with the woman in the unit block of George Court around 1:30 p.m. when he slapped her in the face, elbowed her in the stomach and then tried to choke her, cops said. He then fled on foot.

The woman was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. She was uncooperative with police and left the hospital without being treated, they said.
