Woman assaulted with milk crate in the Tenderloin

This was definitely an unauthorized use of a milk crate.

A woman was assaulted by another woman with a milk crate in the Tenderloin early this morning, police said.

The 46-year-old victim was hanging out at Eddy and Leavenworth streets about 3 a.m. when another woman approached and struck the victim with the milk crate before fleeing.

The victim sustained a laceration to her cheek, police said, but otherwise her injuries were not serious.

There was little description of the suspect, and no arrest was made.Assault with a deadly weaponBay Area NewsCrimeCrime & CourtsMilk crateSan Francisco Police Department
