Well-dressed man robs bank near Fisherman’s Wharf

A well-dressed bandit made an unauthorized withdrawal at a Fisherman’s Wharf-area bank Monday, Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The suspect walked into a bank in the 300 block of Bay Street about 9:13 a.m. and demanded money from the teller, Shyy said. The teller complied. The bandit then fled.

Shyy described the suspect as a man in his 30s who was wearing a fedora, sunglasses, dark buttoned-down shirt, black pants and black shoes, Shyy said.

He was said to be about 5-foot-7 and 155 pounds.

No arrest has been made.
