Visionaries will weigh in on city streets

Supervisor Eric Mar wants some other city’s brightest minds when it comes to San Francisco’s streets to meet all in one room and plot a course for the future.

Mar called for a hearing Tuesday “on moving forward our ‘better streets’ planning process that began two-and-a-half years ago, hoping to bring together city agencies and stakeholder groups, environmental groups and grassroots organizations to really move forward a vision for The City of clean streets, which are safer and greener and more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”

The hearing is expected to be held before the board’s Land Use and Economic Development Committee.
