Victim of fatal shooting in San Francisco's Bayview identified

A young man fatally shot Saturday evening in the Bayview district was identified by the medical examiner’s office Sunday as 19-year-old Treyvon Butler, a San Francisco resident.

Butler was found shot multiple times in the unit block of Carr Street at about 4:50 p.m., according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A suspect description was not immediately available. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call San Francisco police at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411.
