A United Airlines flight headed to Washington D.C. made an emergency landing at SFO Monday morning due to an unspecified mechanical issue.
The aircraft “landed without incident,” said Doug Yakel, a San Francisco International Airport spokesperson.
United Airlines verified flight 516 bound for Washington Dulles International Airport “returned safely to San Francisco” after reporting a mechanical issue. At the time of the statement, this morning, the flight was expected to depart for Washington at 12:15 p.m. pacific time.
Neither United nor SFO were able to confirm the nature of the mechanical issue.Transit
