Two seriously injured in SF stabbings

Two men are in serious condition after being stabbed Saturday night in separate incidents in San Francisco, police said.

Just before midnight, a man was found suffering from a stab wound on Market Street near the Duboce Triangle, police said.

A passerby saw the man on the ground of Market Street near Buchanan Street around 11:45 p.m. and called police.

The man, of unknown age, was taken to a local hospital with injuries considered life threatening.

Earlier that night, a 42-year-old man was stabbed in the neck in South of Market. The victim reportedly knows the assailant, police said.

Both men were walking toward one another on Ninth Street near Howard Street around 7:09 p.m. when, unprovoked, the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife, police said.

The suspect, a 39-year-old man, fled toward Market Street and has not been arrested.

The wounded man was brought to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
