Two injured in Mission District shooting

Two men were injured in a shooting in the Mission District on Thursday night, police said.

The shooting was reported at 10:10 p.m. in the area of 26th Street and Treat Avenue, according to police.

The first victim, a 52-year-old man, was in front of of a house when he saw another man shooting in his direction. That victim was struck by gunfire.

The second victim, a 43-year-old man, was walking in the area when he saw the suspect’s vehicle traveling west on 26th Street. The suspect emerged and the victim saw the suspect shooting in his direction, too.

The second victim ran but soon discovered he had been shot.

The suspect drove away west on 26th Street and had not been arrested as of Friday morning.

Both victims are expected to survive.
