Trespasser trapped like a rat

A perp literally trapped himself inside his crime Friday.

The trespasser snuck into an apartment building in the 1400 block of California Street around 3:30 a.m., alarming a resident who saw him through his peep hole, police said.

Cops were called, but the trespasser could not run — he walked into the second floor stairwell and ended up trapped, police said. The door to the stairwell had locked behind him, police said.

Police showed up and arrested him. Cops said they found two baggies of meth on him.
