Mike Koozmin/The Examiner

A holiday tree-lighting ceremony is scheduled at a popular park in San Francisco's Nob Hill neighborhood Monday evening.

San Francisco Recreation and Park Department director of operations Dennis Kern will be at Huntington Park, at Taylor and California streets, to light up the park's trees at 5:45 p.m.

The San Francisco Girls Chorus will perform at the event.

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee is scheduled to attend a separate tree-lighting ceremony in The City's Castro District on Monday evening. That event takes place at 6 p.m. at Castro and 18th streets.
