Three men convicted on gang charges

Three suspected Norteño gang members were convicted in a Mission district robbery recently, according to the District Attorney’s Office. Tyree Johnson, 20, Vincent Rivera, 18, and Kevin Gonzalez, 26, were found guilty of committing robbery for the benefit of a criminal street gang. Rivera was found guilty of committing an assault with a deadly weapon and was also convicted of possessing crack cocaine for purposes of sale. The conviction is the result of an investigation by San Francisco police Sgt. Michael Browne and Sgt. Dion McDonnell.
