Teens arrested in shooting

Redwood City police arrested two people Monday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man Sunday night.

An 18-year-old and 17-year-old were taken into custody in the homicide of Redwood City resident Julio Cuevas, who was shot just before 8 p.m. in the 400 block of Madison Avenue, police said.

Cuevas had been shot once and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said as many as eight people might have participated in the shooting, which appears to be gang-related.
